'Harmony' at F1 powerhouse Red Bull, Perez says

Sergio Perez insists there is "harmony" at Red Bull despite rumours surrounding three-time world champion Max Verstappen's future with the Formula One powerhouse.

Red Bull have started the season as strongly as they finished 2023, with Verstappen and Perez securing one-two finishes in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

But their continued success on the track has been overshadowed by serious allegations against Red Bull's team principal Christian Horner.

Horner will remain in charge after a Red Bull investigation cleared him of alleged misconduct towards a team employee.

But the storyline remains in the headlines with Red Bull's arrival in Melbourne for Sunday's Australian Grand Prix.

"The dynamic, everyone in the team is working really well together, the whole engineering group, it's really united," Perez said on Thursday.

"You can see that on-track and how efficient we've been in the last year.

"The team is in a very strong position because with the results we're currently having, the harmony that there is in the team."

Reports have emerged Verstappen could consider a shock switch to Mercedes, with the superstar Belgium driver having had an exit clause added to his lengthy contract with Red Bull.

"I don't have that clause," Perez said.

"I don't know what clause Max has in his contract, it's better if you ask him."

Perez added it would be a "blow" if Verstappen were to leave Red Bull before his contract expires in 2028.

The rumours come after seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton recently confirmed he would be exiting Mercedes at the end of this season to race for Ferrari from 2025.
