Harlow shooting: man fighting for life and two women injured after attackers open fire at party in Essex

A man is fighting for life and two women have been injured after a "drive-by" shooting following a party in Essex.

Essex Police said the attackers opened fire from a car, while people were standing outside a property in Harlow, where a gathering had taken place, early on Saturday.

Officers were called shortly to the address in Water Lane in Roydon, Harlow, shortly before 5am.

The male victim, who is in his 50s and from nearby Grays, was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition.

Two women in their 20s were also taken to hospital with single gunshot wounds, which are not considered to be life-threatening.

"It was reported that a number of people had arrived in a car and fired several gunshots at a group of people who were outside the address, having attended a party there," the force said.

Anyone with information has been asked to contact police or Crimestoppers anonymously.
