Two improvised explosive devices (IEDs) have been found at an address in northwest London, authorities have said.
An investigation has been launched after the explosives were discovered in Harlesden, detectives from Metropolitan Police's Counter-Terrorism Command said.
Police were called to a flat on Craven Park Road at about 9.30am on 21 November after the suspicious devices were found in an unoccupied property which was undergoing refurbishment.
A block of flats in the area was evacuated while the devices were recovered by authorities.
Both items were taken for forensic examination.
Cordons were in place around the block of flats until 18:00, at which point residents were allowed to return to their homes.
Chief Superintendent Simon Rose said: "The next stage is to investigate how and why the two devices came to be in this flat and detectives from the Counter Terrorism Command will be leading this.
"The public's safety is our top priority, and I would like to pay tribute to the specialist officers who attended and were able to safely recover the devices.
"I also want to reassure the local community that we have carried out precautionary searches in the surrounding area to make sure there was nothing else of a similar nature nearby."
Mr Rose appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
Officers remain at the address and no arrests have been made.
