Harlequins will be without Danny Care for their key Premiership clash with Northampton Saints on Saturday as the race for fourth place hots up.

Scotland’s Sam Hidalgo-Clyne will make his debut at scrum-half in place of Care, while Marcus Smith returns at fly-half. Joe Marchant and Joe Marler are also out injured.

Quins are fourth with four regular season games remaining, but are being chased by as many as four clubs, including Northampton.

“We’ve put ourselves in a good position and now it’s simple – win games,” said wing Nathan Earle.

“Northampton are chasing our coat-tails so it would be great to get one over them.”

Earle believes Quins can compete for the title. “Once you get to the semis it’s anyone’s game,’ he said.
