Hariharan on MM Keeravani bagging Oscars for 'Naatu Naatu': 'He truly deserves this award' - Exclusive

MM Keeravani is currently on cloud nine after his song, 'Naatu naatu' from SS Rajamouli's 'RRR' bagged an Oscar in the Best original Song category at the 95th Academy Award. Wishes have been pouring in from all sides ever since.

ETimes got in touch with singer Hariharan who had all good things to say about the ace musician. "It a great news for all of us. Keeravani ji is one of our senior most and most talented music directors. He truly deserves this award. God bless him", the singer said.

In an earlier interview, Shankar Mahadevan told ETimes, "It is truly a proud moment for India and the Indian film industry. I think MM Keeravani is a fabulous musician who has got tremendous knowledge and depth. This award is not only for ‘RRR’ but for all 30-35 years of hard work and sincere pieces of music that MM Kreem has created in his career. It is a well-deserved award for an outstanding musician.”

Keeravani celebrated winning the Best Original Song award by turning his speech into a song to the tune of ‘Top of The World’ by The Carpenters.

'Naatu Naatu' from RRR was written by Chandra Bose and it was crooned by Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava to the Music composed by MM Keeravani.
