Haribo has warned retailers it is struggling to deliver to shops due to a HGV driver shortage.
Trade paper The Grocer reports the German sweet-maker has admitted is facing difficulties getting its products to stores.
Haribo has also reportedly cancelled promotions on its share bags as it tries to maintain supply.
In a note to customers The Grocer reports the firm said: "Haribo are experiencing an unprecedented and sustained surge in demand.
"We are working flat out to manage the situation.
"We are faced with several challenges throughout our supply chain including a shortage of drivers.
"Whilst this demand is great news for the category and wider economy, it does mean we will have to review our activity plans with all our wholesale and retail partners to ensure the best availability possible is maintained.
"Specifically, this means that we have to cancel the upcoming promotions on our share size bag ranges, both £1 price marked packs and non-price marked."
Earlier this week industry leaders have warned the UK is facing a shortage of up to 100,000 HGV drivers.
Brexit has meant many Eastern European drivers have returned home, while the coronavirus pandemic has led to a backlog of trainee drivers waiting to take their test.
It's resulted in a 'crisis' in supply chains which could result supermarket shelves being empty of some food items within weeks, industry insiders chiefs said in a letter to the Prime Minister in which they called for urgent intervention to allow overseas drivers back into the country.
