The Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry on Monday launched the seventh edition of the sanitation survey of cities conducted by the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban as well as a new version of the Swachhta app.

Speaking at the launch, HUA Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said Prime Minister Narendra Modi would launch SBM-U 2.0 and Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) 2.0 on Friday.

As a part of the celebrations of 75 years of Independence next year, the sanitation survey would have the theme of “Azaadi@75” and take feedback from senior citizens regarding cleanliness in their cities, the Ministry said.
