Taylor Swift has addressed whether she plans to perform with close friend Ed Sheeran at her upcoming wedding.
The pop superstar, who is promoting her newly released 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl, was asked about the possibility during an interview on Hits Radio Breakfast Show .
Swift, 35, and Sheeran, 34, have collaborated multiple times since first teaming up on Everything Has Changed in 2012, and fans have long speculated they might duet on her big day.
“I mean it would be hard to keep him from it I think!” she laughed. “That's the thing he's like 'I'm always being asked to sing at weddings' and you're like 'Ed if there's a stage you know that you'll be on it!' He knows what people want and he wants to give people what they want.”
She added that their bond makes the idea possible.
“That's the fun thing about our friendship is we both love performing and we love writing and we love singing,” she continued. “It's actually not that hard to talk either of us into performing at anything!”

Swift and Sheeran first met in 2012 after she was spotted with the lyrics of his hit Lego House written on her arm during a show in Australia.
Their friendship soon blossomed into a musical partnership, with the pair recording four duets across the years, including End Game (2017), Run (2021) and The Joker and the Queen (2022).
The conversation comes shortly after Sheeran revealed he learned of Swift’s engagement to Travis Kelce through Instagram, telling SiriusXM’s Small Stage series that he had neither heard her new record in advance nor received a “save the date” for the wedding. “No,” he replied simply when asked.
Sheeran has spoken in the past about Swift’s role in his own love story with wife Cherry Seaborn, whom he married in 2019 and shares two daughters with.

The pair reconnected at Swift’s Fourth of July party in Rhode Island in 2015 and Sheeran later immortalised the moment in his verse on Swift’s Reputation track End Game.
“After the storm, something was born on the Fourth of July,” he sang — a lyric referencing the night that changed his relationship. Swift even made a sign for the couple’s first anniversary, jokingly labelling it “Happy Ed-iver-Cherry.”
More recently, both Swift and Sheeran were reported to have played a role in Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s wedding, giving speeches at the September ceremony in California.
