'Hard man, aren't you?' - Argentine star sees red for reckless cheap shot in Ireland clash

Tempers flared as Argentina's Tomás Lavanini saw red for a cheap shot clearout against Ireland on Sunday.

The 28-year-old, no stranger to a card as he became the first international to receive three reds, needlessly took out a prone Cian Healy on the deck as the Argentines struggled to get to grips with Andy Farrell's men in Dublin.

Healy was on his knees beyond the ruck as Lavanini entered recklessly, connecting near the prop's head.

Regardless of quite whether the contact was with Healy's head or not, the sheer disregard for player safety made it an obvious red card.

Unsurprisingly, Irish players were aggrieved by the disgraceful piece of foul play.

"That's a f*****g red, you're a scumbag," was Irish flanker Peter O'Mahony's response to Lavanini after the incident, picked up by the referee's mic.

"Hard man, aren't you?" he added. "That's very unlike you, isn't it."

Ireland international Simon Zebo posted on Twitter: "That fella always at it. Send him."
