‘Hard Knocks’ reveals Rams rookie Terrell Lewis tested positive for COVID-19

Rams rookie pass rusher Terrell Lewis was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list early on in camp, as was defensive tackle Michael Hoecht. It didn’t mean that either player tested positive for the coronavirus, as they could’ve been put on the list for coming in close contact with someone who did contract the virus.

It turns out Lewis did test positive. That was shown on “Hard Knocks” Tuesday night, revealing that he was the only player on the Rams and Chargers who tested positive for the coronavirus.

When asked by Samson Ebukam how long he has to be out, Lewis said he thinks they put him on “the 10-day (expletive).”

Lewis needs all the time he can get in advance of the season after OTAs and minicamps were canceled by the NFL. He has a ton of potential at outside linebacker, but he has to be available in order to realize that potential.

He missed significant time at Alabama due to injury, and his NFL career is off to an unfortunate start with this positive COVID-19 test.
