Coronation Street are working with the NSPCC over a hard-hitting child abuse storyline involving teen Asha Alahan.
Asha, played by Tanisha Gorey, has struggled with her body image in the past and resorted to dangerous skin lightening cream after a trip to India.
For her latest difficult storyline, the ITV soap has been working closely with children's charity NSPCC, the Manchester Evening News has reported.
Asha's life will be turned upside down when she discovers that her crush Corey Brent has screenshotted a sexual video of her without her permission.
The pair will video chat together when Corey takes screen grabs and shares them online.
Speaking to the publication, the NSPCC said that Asha's experience is, unfortunately, very common with that of teens across the country.
The charity was previously consulted over Bethany Platt's grooming storyline and, for the past six months, they have been consulting with senior policy officer Alana Ryan over Asha's story.

She said: "We know that a third of all child sexual abuse is perpetrated by peers and this includes non-contact offenses, such as the taking and sharing of sexual images without consent.
“When working with the team at Coronation Street, we really wanted to ensure young viewers understood that taking and sharing photos without permission is never acceptable."
She also said that they hoped to highlight that everyone had a shared responsibility to support victims of non-consensual sexual image sharing.
