Harald Brattbakk predicts Celtic A-list party as club icon makes Neil Lennon claim

Harald Brattbakk reckons immortality awaits Neil Lennon if he becomes Celtic's Ten in a Row-winning boss.

The reigning Premiership champions will begin their quest for a tenth straight league crown at home to Hamilton Accies on Sunday.

Lennon was the manager who kick-started Celtic 's bid for history and knows exactly what's at stake this season.

But so too does Brattbakk, who was part of the Parkhead side who stopped Rangers winning a historic 10 in 1998.

That side, led by Wim Jansen, earned a place in Celtic folklore and former Hoops star Brattbakk can only imagine the adulation that awaits the gaffer who delivers the fabled achievement.

And the Norwegian plans to be in the thick of the celebrations if his old club get the job done.

“It’s an incredible journey," he told The Sunday Post.

“Neil Lennon was also the manager when it all started in 2012. He left, Ronny Deila and Brendan Rodgers continued the good work, and then Neil came back.

“I’m sure he’s already a Celtic legend, and rightly so. But to lead the club to 10 would take it to another level.

“I am not taking anything for granted, and I’m certain that is the message that Neil will be giving his players every single day.

“However, I am hoping that the club achieves what needs to be done, and that I can get a ticket for the Championship party in May next year.

“But, naturally, they need to do what is required to win it, first of all.”
