Tributes have been paid to a 'happy' and bubbly' carer who died three years after suffering a heart attack.
Keely Taylor on June 1, aged 24, after a long health battle following the attack, which happened when she was 21.
In 2018, Keely, from Warrington, Cheshire, had multiple cardiac arrests and a heart attack caused by underlying health condition Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome (WPW).
After the incident, the carer suffered a lack of oxygen to the brain leading to years of rehabilitation.
She was discharged and returned home in December 2020, but died on June 14 after surgery to remove a bowel obstruction.
Ashley Hindley, her former work friend has now set up a GoFundMe page to help raise money towards funeral costs.
She told the Liverpool Echo : "It was when they got to hospital they found out she had Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome, which she obviously didn't know."
Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome is a condition that causes an extra electrical connection in the heart. According to the NHS, the problem is present at birth, but symptoms may not develop until later in life.
Ashley said Keely was without oxygen for around 28 minutes when she went into cardiac arrest, which led to brain injury.
She said: "She was driving and felt all the symptoms so she pulled over at a garage and then that's when she ended up having the heart attack.
"She was with her friend, and obviously they didn't know what was happening, so they were trying to get help.
"Passers-by ended up giving her CPR. They gave her CPR three times in half an hour and then the ambulance came and took her to hospital. Then when she was going to hospital she had multiple cardiac arrests.

After the incident, she said Keely went through a number of operations and rehabilitation.
Ashley said: "She had heart operations and stuff like that, and she ended up going into the Walton Centre for rehabilitation and then another place in Liverpool as well and she came home then, she came home just before Christmas."
Keely was discharged on December 18, 2020 to spend 'precious' time with her family and friends.
But she was taken back into hospital and died on June 24 after surgery to remove a bowel obstruction.
Ashley described her as 'happy' and 'caring' and the 'life and soul' of every party.
She said: "Keely was so bubbly and full of life. She was the life and soul of every party.
"She was always happy and always caring. She would have done anything for anyone."
