Happy Mondays star Bez marries singer fiancée at 'best wedding ever'

Happy Mondays star Bez has tied the knot with his singer fiancee Firouzeh Razavi - and it was the 'best wedding ever' according to his friend and bandmate Rowetta. The singer shared a beautiful snap of herself and Bez's proud mum at the ceremony in Herefordshire and the congratulations came pouring in.

The Step On singer looked stunning in a midnight blue and gold embellished dress alongside the mother-of-the-groom who beamed in a pretty navy and pink floral dress with a cropped jacket and fascinator. "Me & Bez’s gorgeous mum yesterday at the best wedding ever," wrote Rowetta alongside the photo posted on her Instagram.

She added: "Love you both so much @bezmondays & @firouzehsings." And her followers reacted to the joyful news. Thisisjuderogers exclaimed: "Oh Bez’s mum!! You look amazing x"

As the big day arrived Rowetta shared a throwback picture of herself on stage with Bez and a photo of herself with the loved-up couple. "Wedding day has arrived. They’d better not start being boring. Love you both and can’t wait to share this beautiful day with you both," she wrote.

At the end of last month the bride-to-be, a singer-songwriter and frontwoman of British melodic metal band Control the Storm, posted photos and video from her hen do. "Had THE BEST hen party last week thanks to these sexy ladies, love you all a party we definitely had," she wrote on her social media.

In January Happy Mondays 'freaky dancer' Bez swapped his maracas for ice skates as he competed on the ITV skating show Dancing On Ice. Bez, who shot to fame as a member of the Manchester band in the eighties, was partnered with pro skater Angela Egan.

The Celebrity Gogglebox regular said about the show's so-called dreaded love 'curse' that he only had eyes for singer Firouzeh. “At 57, I’ve lost the libido where you want to s*** everyone in the room. It’s a good thing… Firou’s got me at my best," he said. “I couldn’t be bothered with all the drama, I’m definitely getting older."

He was eliminated following a skate-off with Coronation Street icon Sally Dynevor and Matt Evers. Bez, the first ever contestant to wear a helmet on the show, promised to survive on the ice so that he could marry Firouzeh in September.

He popped the question in October after a picnic on top of the Skirrid, known as the 'Holy Mountain', in Wales. And he previously promised that he wouldn't be playing the maracas on the big day. “I’ll save them for the bedroom,” Bez joked.
