Doing anything next Saturday? If not, and you're down London way, here's a thought - how about popping down to Foyles to help literary imprint Vintage celebrate its 15th anniversary?
Foyles bookshop, on Charing Cross Road, is hosting a full day of readings, talks and signings with some of Vintage's current crop of top-flight authors. Among other things, Sebastian Faulks will be signing copies of his latest book, Human Traces; Francine Stock, Howard Jacobson and Adam Thirlwell will talk about what it is that makes a classic; and Rose Tremain, author of the 1999 Whitbread Novel Award-winner Music & Silence will give a reading. Attendees will also receive goody-bags of Vintage titles (a mix of classics and advance copies of new books, apparently).
Tickets for the day cost £15, and entitle you a 15% discount off all Vintage books. You can book tickets and check out the full calendar of events on the Foyles website - and if you don't fancy paying, you can enter our competition to win a pair of tickets instead. See you there!
