Happily-married Rio and Kate Ferdinand pestered by 'desperate' kids to have a baby

Newly-weds Rio and Kate Ferdinand have revealed they are often pestered by his three children to have a baby after the former Towie star became part of their family.

The happy couple, who married in September, detailed that the kids "ask all the time" for the pair to welcome a fourth child into the close-knit clan during a candid interview with You magazine.

The couple opened up about growing their family after Kate confessed "I cried everyday for a year after I moved in with Rio" following the death of his late wife Rebecca in 2015.

Rebecca tragically passed away after her battle with breast cancer, and it has since been difficult for Rio and Kate as the former reality TV star got to grips with her new role in parenting and being welcomed into their family.

"That's a question the kids ask all the time," Kate told You.

She added: "They are desperate for us to have a baby. As far as I am concerned, I do have three children, but if it happens, it happens. We will just have to wait and see."

Kate is a step-mother to Rio's three children Lorenz, 13, Tate, 11, and Tia, 8.

But it wasn't easy for Kate to adhere to her role as a new mum at first, as the star admitted she had faced several struggles when she walked into their lives just as the kids were coming to terms with Rebecca's tragic death.

She talked about her difficulty with becoming the "perfect wife" on their new BBC documentary Rio and Kate: Becoming A Step Family - which airs tonight at 9pm.

The pair have said the one-off special became a "relationship saver".
