Haotong Li What's In The Bag?
Back in 2018 Haotong Li became the first Chinese golfer to break into the world's top-50 in the world rankings. This came after a win at the 2018 Dubai Desert Classic and yet he has since struggled to find the winners circle again. He did make the 2019 President's Cup team though and after a few years of dropping down the rankings, he finally got back into the winner's circle in 2022 at the BMW International Open. He won in a playoff over Thomas Pieters. But what does he put into his bag each week? Let's take a look.
Haotong Li What's In The Bag?
Driver
Titleist GT2 Driver

Li sports a mixed bag of golf clubs and had previously used TaylorMade drivers. However, the 29-year-old uses the Titleist GT2 in nine degrees of loft, equipped with the Fujikura Ventus TR Black 7 X shaft.
Interestingly, Li added the TaylorMade R7 Quad Mini Driver ahead of the links swing in the calendar ahead of the Scottish Open at The Renaissance Club as well as the 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush, also with the Fujikura Ventus Black 7 X shaft.

Utility Iron
Titleist T350

Ahead of the run of links golf in the schedule, Li has added a driving iron into the top end of the bag in an attempt to flight the ball lower, both to avoid the unpredictable winds as well as making use of the firmer ground to gain plenty of run out on the fairways.
Li opts for the Titleist T350 driving iron with the Fujikura Ventus Black HB 10 TX shaft.
Irons
Srixon ZXi7

Having previously been using the TaylorMade P7MCs, Li has switched irons and brand by opting for the Srixon ZXi7 with the Nippon N.S. Pro Modus3 Tour 120 X shafts. He uses these irons 4 iron - pitching wedge, using a notable amount of lead tape near the crown on the longer irons (4-7 iron).

Wedges
Titleist Vokey Design SM10 (50-08F, 54-08M), WedgeWorks (60-A+)

Li uses 50 degree, 54 degree and 60 degree versions of the Titleist Vokey Design SM10 (50-08F, 54-08M, WedgeWorks 60-A+). The Wedgeworks 60 degree was added into the bag specifically for the links swing, beginning at the Scottish Open.

Putter
Odyssey Jailbird 360 Prototype

He putts with an Odyssey White Hot Stroke Lab #7 putter which has the red shaft and is actually a centre-shaft option as well.
Previously using the Odyssey White Hot Stroke Lab #7 putter, Li has made an update in the putter position but has remained using an Odyssey. Instead, he now opts for a prototype of the Odyssey Jailbird 360 Prototype, sporting a flashy white and red head as well as a red shaft, akin to the previous one he used on the Stroke Lab #7.
Ball
Titleist Pro V1

Currently we believe Li uses a Titleist Pro V1 golf ball but it has been reported he is testing the TaylorMade golf balls as he makes his transition into the new equipment. One of the best golf balls money can buy, the Pro V1 got five stars in our review and it is easy to see why. It provides superb all-round performance with impressive distance in the long game, excellent control into the greens and high levels of consistency throughout with a soft feel. It was also particularly impressive when playing in the wind.

Shoes
FootJot Premiere Series Tarlow

Having worn the FootJoy Pro/SL's before switching to the FootJoy Premiere Series Tarlow shoes in 2022 for a more classic look, the Chinese star has switched back to the trainer-style shoe and opted for the FootJoy Hyperflex golf shoes. He's not the only player to switch from the classic-style to the more sporty golf shoe, with Justin Thomas also switched shoe model ahead of the 2023 season.
