GANGNEUNG -- After winning his second straight Olympic gold, Yuzuru Hanyu wanted to express his gratitude to his supporters -- and to his right leg.

Hanyu had not taken part in any competitions since injuring his right ankle in November. "I'm relieved I was able to skate after receiving support from many people," he said. "My right leg worked really hard [today.] I need to thank it."
