Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick has name-checked three Chelsea players as dream signings for Bayern Munich.
Callum Hudson-Odoi was heavily linked with a move to the German giants throughout 2019 and 2020 before he signed a new contract at Stamford Bridge.
Bayern had four transfer bids for Hudson-Odoi rejected and went back in for the Chelsea winger at the end of 2020 with a loan bid with a £70 million option to buy clause according to Sky Sports.
Speaking after Bayern's 6-2 aggregate win over Lazio in the Champions League last-16 Flick confirmed Hudson-Odio was a player he was after.
"It is said that Hudson-Odoi and [Sergino] Dest were my dream signing, they were our [Bayern Munich's] dream signings," he said.
"But it didn't work out, especially during coronavirus, it's difficult for Brazzo [Sporting Director- Hasan Salihamidzic]. Then we decided to add quantity [not quality]."
Hudson-Odoi's game time this season was limited under Frank Lampard due to a hip injury and the former manager often using the England international from the substitutes bench.
The 20-year-old began life under Thomas Tuchel's in the starting XI often paying as a right wing-back, however, in recent weeks he has found himself as once again as a substitute.
The likes of Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner seem to have overtaken the England man in Tuchel's thinking.
German internationals Havertz and Werner were two other players that Flick mentioned when talking about players Bayern wish they had been able to sign in the summer transfer window.
"Ideally I would've wanted all three:[Leroy] Sane, Werner and Havertz," Flick said.
As it was the German pair both moved to Stamford Bridge for a reported £50m for Werner and a club record £75m for Havertz.
