German composer Hans Zimmer, known for his iconic film scores in movies like 'The Lion King,' 'Gladiator,' and 'The Dark Knight' trilogy, is set to bring his award-winning music to the live stage this fall. His 'Hans Zimmer Live' tour, which was a hit in Europe, will now make its way to the U.S. and Canada after seven years, marking his return to North America since his 2017 Coachella performance.

Zimmer was inspired to take the stage after advice from friends like Johnny Marr and Pharrell Williams, realizing the importance of connecting with his audience. The tour promises a unique experience with no conductor, sheet music, or film frames, focusing on delivering a captivating show rather than a traditional classical performance.

The tour will kick off in Duluth, Ga. on Sept. 6 and will cover 17 cities across the U.S. and Canada, concluding in Vancouver, British Columbia on Oct. 6. Zimmer's diverse orchestra, including members from Ukraine, South Africa, and Venezuela, adds a multicultural element to the performances.

'Hans Zimmer Live' will feature music from a range of films, including 'Gladiator,' 'Pirates of the Caribbean,' 'The Dark Knight,' 'Interstellar,' 'The Lion King,' 'The Last Samurai,' and 'Dune.' Zimmer emphasizes the emotional commitment of his musicians and the unique stories they bring to the stage.

Zimmer's approach to scoring films is characterized by commitment, honesty, and a careful selection of collaborators. Tickets for the tour will be available for purchase starting March 22 at 10 am local time on the official website.
