Celtic-linked winger Hannes Wolf is on the brink of being cut loose at Borussia Monchengladbach, according to a report.
Ange Postecoglou is on the lookout for January reinforcements with Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi all lined up for potential deals.
But Celtic need to improve in the wide areas too with Jota's recently injury exposing a lack of depth beyond the starting cast.
Austrian playmaker Wolf is one option they have been linked with in the past with Bild naming the Hoops, Trabzonspor and Rapid Vienna as three potential suitors.
And now the same outlet say that Wolf's time at Gladbach is virtually over after director of sport Max Eberl admitted there will be personnel changes in January.
They say that Wolf has "no prospects" of getting back into the team and will be one player the German side are actively looking to offload after a disappointing start to the season.
That could be music to Celtic's ears as they look to strengthen the squad before their Scottish Premiership season resumes against Hibs on January 17.
Icelandic winger Albert Gudmundsson and Irishman Danny Mandroiu are other potential wide options if Wolf is unviable.
22-year-old Wolf has managed just eight appearances this season.
