Josh Hannay appreciates Tino Fa'asuamaleaui's stinging critique of his own performances as Gold Coast look to halt their winless start to the NRL season.
The Titans have lost all three games of Hannay's coaching tenure and host St George Illawarra (0-3) on Sunday, with the loser at Cbus Super Stadium set to finish round four at the bottom of the ladder.
Gold Coast skipper Fa'asuamaleaui conceded earlier this week his performances had not been up to scratch through the club's opening month.
Fa'asuamaleaui has vowed to come out strongly against the Dragons after conceding his output was way below his own high standards.

"I'm a big believer that your job as a coach isn't identifying issues or problems and just say to the player, 'fix it'," Hannay said.
"That's why we're here to provide solutions.
"What I love about those guys that you speak of is there's a real high level of accountability and self awareness that they're not happy with their current form.
"They know they can do better, and they're not shying away from that. But it's also my job and our job as a staff to help them with that."
Hannay is confident that halfback Jayden Campbell will continue to provide the spark his side needs after scoring two tries on his return from injury in last week's lost to North Queensland.
Campbell missed the first two weeks of the season with a hamstring complaint and is expected to partner AJ Brimson once more.
"The more weeks JC can put back to back, and not just with his halves combinations, but just with the team," Hannay said.
"Last week was his first week back, and obviously we saw the impact he was able to make in a game where we did a lot of defence.
"He had very limited opportunities but the more time he gets with the players out there in the heat of the battle the better we'll be."
