Hannah Godwin, a former contestant on The Bachelor, recently shared insights into what goes on behind the scenes of the popular dating show. Hannah, who appeared on Colton Underwood’s season 23 in 2019, revealed details about the extensive travel involved in filming the show.
Contestants on The Bachelor were required to travel to various locations including Los Angeles, Colorado, Alabama, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Portugal, and Rome. Hannah mentioned that each contestant was allowed two suitcases and a carry-on for their travels. To maintain secrecy, they would often tell other travelers that they were part of a dance team.
During overseas flights, the contestants would board first and sit at the back of the plane, while the Bachelor and the host, Chris Harrison at the time, would board last and sit in the front. The women kept themselves occupied during flights by watching movies, listening to music, or journaling, as producers discouraged discussing show-related drama to capture authentic moments on camera.
Upon reaching their destinations, contestants would stay in hotel suites or houses. Hannah revealed that they would rush to choose their beds upon arrival, and all meals were catered unless they were on a date. When not filming, contestants would engage in various activities at different locations.
After her journey on The Bachelor ended, Hannah found love with Dylan Barbour on Bachelor in Paradise. The couple got engaged during the show and later tied the knot in an extravagant Parisian ceremony. Following their wedding, they enjoyed a buddymoon in Greece with friends and a romantic honeymoon in the Maldives.
Despite being off-screen for a year, Hannah remains connected to the Bachelor franchise and recently recapped an episode on a podcast. The couple's nuptials were celebrated by various Bachelor Nation stars, marking a joyous occasion for the pair.
