Hands off warning over Leeds United linked player, not available at any price

Leeds United have been linked with a host of players already this summer, with the likes of Matheus Pereira and Matheus Cunha said to be on their shopping list.

It's not just overseas Leeds are looking as Victor Orta goes about his business of strengthening the hand of Marcelo Bielsa for a second season in the Premier League.

Domestically a host of names are also being bounded around, one of those being Dael Fry from Middlesbrough.

Leeds are not prioritising a new central defender, being as well stocked as they are in that department. But that's not to say the Whites wouldn't consider a move for a rising young talent who wouldn't cost anything like the sort of money being mentioned for Ben White.

Fry has been mentioned as an natural successor to Ben White, with the six feet four inches defender a physical presence who is good on the ball.

But before Leeds fans get excited about a future possible centre-back, Middlesbrough have issued a hands off warning and are adamant Fry will not be sold at any price as Neil Warnock plots a promotion bid for Boro next season.

According to the Northern Echo, Steve Gibson and Warnock are united in agreement that Fry will not be allowed to leave the Riverside Stadium.

With bigger transfer priorities it is unlike to worry Leeds, who are focused on the left-back position and not centre-back.
