Handful of Titans miss Monday practice, LT Dennis Kelly’s absence no cause for alarm

The Tennessee Titans have cut down their roster, and took the practice field on Monday in preparation for Week 1’s matchup against the Cleveland Browns.

But the team was missing some of its usual faces.

Left tackle Dennis Kelly, defensive back Joshua Kalu and outside linebacker Reggie Gilbert all missed the day’s practice.

Gilbert missed the last two weeks of the preseason with a knee injury, but has been working with trainers and is confident he’ll be back at full capacity in the near future.

While the absence of Kelly certainly sparks some cause for concern considering the recent struggles of Tennessee’s offensive line, head coach Mike Vrabel made clear there’s no reason for panic.

The Titans will release their first official injury report for 2019 on Wednesday.
