Durham's long awaited Odeon could be set for a blockbuster upgrade.
Signs seem to suggest the chain plans on making the site one of its 'Luxe' cinemas.
An application to sell booze and screen films past midnight has been lodged by Odeon Luxe, which is the firm's premium brand.
Current Odeon Luxe cinemas boast luxury hand stitched reclining seats with tables, state-of-the-art sound and 4K projection.

They even serve Coca Cola Freestyle - where customers can make their own flavour drinks - as well as Tango Ice Blasts.
The six-screen venue is yet to get an opening date.
However a spokesperson stated: "Something exciting is on the way for Durham film fans and we will be able to share further information soon.
"Stay tuned!"
The application from Odeon Luxe could see films screened as late as 2am at weekends - and even later on special occasions.
They also want permission to sell alcohol until as late as 1am.

The firm's lodged an application to Durham County Council's licensing department.
The public has until Friday May 3 to submit any comments over the plans.
Design firm Swindon Interiors has been contracted to fit out the six-screen venue and according to the firm's website expected to have the work completed by 'early 2019'.
Odeon itself previously planned to have the picture house ready to open by the end of last year (2018).
