Hand sanitiser refills for those who take own bottles and jars along to Linlithgow Distillery

A West Lothian distillery will be offering hand sanitiser refills to those who take along their own bottles and jars.

Linlithgow Distillery announced on Facebook that they would be starting hand sanitiser production at their E-net Park base in light of the coronavirus situation.

They are just awaiting the arrival of one final ingredient before they kick things off.

Those at the distillery say that they'll be offering the santiser on a refill-basis only, so anyone interested will need to bring along their own bottle or jar. They'll be unable to provide this for free, but will only charge it "at cost" and won't be making any profit.

A post on the Facebook page adds: "Amounts will have to be limited so we can get the product to as many people that need it as possible and we will post costs and details next week when we are ready to go. We will also only be selling to local residents in EH49, EH48 and EH51 postcode areas.

"There are many small (and one or two large) distilleries now making hand sanitiser so if you are outwith this area, please check with your local whisky or gin distillery.

"If you wish to be notified immediately when the product is available then please send us an email at contactus@linlithgowdistillery.co.uk and we will put you on the mailing list."

The team at Linlithgow Distillery add that they'll also be keeping some hand sanitiser aside for local businesses to help them stay open for as long as possible.

When they are not making hand sanitiser the team at Linlithgow Distillery are busy crafting some London Dry Gin. For more information on what they do, visit their website.
