Finnieston is set for a new Japanese restaurant.
Work is well and truly underway at Hanami, on Argyle Street, with the new eatery due to open at the former Big Licks ice cream parlour, beside Thai Siam.
Little is known about the new venue at this stage, other than Japanese cuisine will be the order of the day, however planning documents submitted to Glasgow City Council reveal there will be a sushi bar and a takeaway service available for hungry west-enders.
Hanami Festival is the Japanese festival dedicated to the cherry blossom season, celebrated in the country every year.
Big Licks did occupy the premises at 1185 Argyle Street, before expanding to a bigger space on Finnieston Street in 2018.
