Russell Martin should've kept his gripe with Hamza Igamane quiet, the Rangers manager has been told.
Experienced Premier League manager Alan Pardew insists he faced similar issues during his coaching career.
But the vast majority of the time, the public did not find out about players trying to force their way out of the building.
Martin revealed in his post-match interview yesterday, following the 1-1 draw with St Mirren, that Igamane - who was on the bench - had refused to be subbed on after complaining he was injured.
It's claimed the player only made Martin aware of this during the match when he was asked to warm up.
The news came just days after Rangers rejected an offer from Lille for the 22-year-old.
"I'm not the other manager who's had that professionally happen to them," he said on talkSPORT. "About 90 percent of the team, the fans and media won't know about it because you don't need to make it public. You just have to keep it in-house.
"I would suggest Russell maybe should've done that.
"I understand why he's done it. This all comes back to when the window is still open during the first month of the season. It's chaos for football managers.
"I don't think owners understand how bad it really is in the dressing room. How much uncertainty it causes, how much friction is causes. Some players are really angry.
"The Isak one with Newcastle and Liverpool on Monday. Some of the players in that changing room are going to be angry with him. And some are going to be with him in the sense of 'Oh it's a £100m move, he wants to better himself and that might be me'.

"So, all this is bubbling under the surface at the minute for clubs. It's not fair.
"Particularly at the higher level you go, you get a bit more of this, where agents who are powerful, influence their players to play up.
"We've still got Wissa not playing at Brentford, we've still got Isak not playing at Newcastle and this is another situation at Rangers."
He later added: "Russell Martin's trying to find his feet at this club.
"When you get off to a bad start, you can't find your feet. You feel a little bit lost, and I sense he is a little bit lost.
"He needs a win against Celtic. That could turn it around for him."
