Hampden set for Euro 2020 fans as SFA reveal plans to UEFA for tournament

Supporters will be inside Hampden for Euro 2020 after the Scottish Government approved the SFA's plans for the tournament.

The governing body had to provide evidence they could welcome fans to the national stadium and they confirmed they will be allowed 25 per cent of capacity.

It means there will be just under 13,000 fans inside the 51,000 seater stadium during the group stage games that will be taking place at Hampden.

That includes Scotland's games against Czech Republic and Croatia during the competition this summer.

Steve Clarke's men will kick-off against the Czech Republic in their opener before a trip to London to face England in their second group game.

They will then round it off against Croatia on June 22, eight days after their opening match.

Hampden will also host one game in the round of 16, which Scotland will hope to be involved in if they can make it through the group stage.

The 12 cities hosting the tournament had to detail their plans to UEFA this week, with Dublin unable to provide evidence they can guarantee fans.

A decision will be made on the final hosts of the competition on April 19 at the next UEFA meeting.
