Hamilton vs Rangers betting odds preview and two 5/1 first scorer tips

Rangers are on a streaky little run at the moment - and they really need a morale boosting match against a team they can plunder a few goals against.

Enter Hamilton Accies.

The Gers love their trips to the Fountain of Youth Stadium, plastic pitch or not.

They scored three there in November, scored four and five in last season's two trips and four and five the previous season.

And while Rangers have faltered since returning from the winter break, Accies have done nothing to suggest they can take advantage, losing heavily to Celtic and Livingston and picking up their only post Hogmanay point at fellow strugglers St Mirren on Wednesday.

As a result Accies are a huge 12/1 to win with thepools.com , with Rangers a prohibitive 2/11 .

Rangers with a minus-1 goals handicap is 8/15 , and -2 is 13/10 .

Rangers half-time Rangers full-time is a more solid looking 4/6 , especially as Gers have scored first half goals in four of their six outings since the resumption.

As for first scorers, following the horses for courses route, Ryan Kent struck twice in November's win at Hamilton and celebrated a hat-trick last season.

He's 5/1 to score first and 6/4 anytime , exactly the same prices you can get on Ianis Hagi whose confidence will be sky-high after Wednesday's well taken winner against Hibernian.

Alfredo Morelos, still seeking his first goal since Boxing Day, is 11/5 to open the scoring - and after several near misses on Wednesday night, including a shot pushed onto the post in added time, he will surely end that barren run - although 6/10 anytime is too skinny for us.
