A Hamilton youth fought with police and staff at Hairmyres Hospital.
James McCaughan, 18, of Victoria Street, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted charges of assault and rowdy behaviour on January 19.
He threatened two police officers, spitting at them, trying to kick one and trying to bite the other. McCaughan also struggled with a staff nurse and tried to kick her.
Sheriff Allan McKay continued the case until October 30 under the court’s structured deferred sentence scheme.
