Hamilton shoplifter jailed for 11 months

A serial shoplifter was jailed for 11 months at Hamilton Sheriff Court last week.

Lindsay Finnigan, 30, of Abbotsford Road, Hamilton, admitted stealing from a number of premises in the town.

The charges included snatching a charity tin at Mecca Bingo in Douglas Park Lane in May last year. Finnigan also admitted assault and threatening behaviour at Scotmid in Neilsland
Road on February 22 this year and was found guilty after trial of deliberately smashing a bottle at the Co-op in Mill Road on the  same day.
