Chatelherault Primary celebrated World Book Day in style.
Pupils got right in the swing of things by dressing up as their favourite characters before taking part in quizzes, listening to authors read and participating in story activities.
Parents and carers were also welcomed in to the school to read with the children.
The youngsters were particularly happy when they took their £1 book tokens to WH Smith to exchange for a book.
A school spokesperson said: “Well done to all the children who participated in the event and thanks to the parents who helped out on the day, and to the staff at WH Smith.”
