Hamilton Police continue search for missing 80-year-old Brian Porteous

Police are continuing to appeal for information to help find a missing Hamilton man.

Brian Porteous went missing more than a fortnight ago from his home in the town.

The 80-year-old was last seen on Saturday, March 21, at 10am at Woodburn Court.

He was wearing a dark-green hooded coat, navy chino-style trousers, a short-sleeved white and navy checked shirt and brown suede walking shoes.

Officers say although Brian is aged 80, he looks younger and is mobile for his age.

But concerns are growing for his welfare. In particular, officers are keen to speak to anyone who may know Brian and to find out if he had talked about visiting them recently.

Sergeant Sharon Priestley, of Hamilton Police Station, said: “We are asking anyone who may know something about Brian’s movements in the last couple of weeks to get in touch. He may have talked about going to visit someone or about taking a trip.

“Anyone with information which might help us find Brian should call us on 101, quoting incident 2985 of 21 March.”
