An Iconic Hamilton landmark will soon be opening their doors to the public.
The Hamilton Mausoleum will hold their annual Doors Open Day event this weekend (September 7-8).
In Hamilton and the surrounding areas, Hamilton Mausoleum, Hamilton Old Parish Church and St John’s Parish Church are among the buildings opening their doors.
South Lanarkshire Council’s Community and Enterprise Resources Executive Director, Michael McGlynn, said: “Doors Open Day provides a fantastic chance for the public to visit buildings they would not normally be allowed access to.
“Some of them have an important place in the history of South Lanarkshire and are simply quite stunning examples of architecture.
“I hope as many families as possible take advantage of the fantastic opportunities available.”
A full list of buildings open in Lanarkshire, along with the dates and times, is available via the Doors Open Day South Lanarkshire booklet, and more information is also available from the Doors Open Day website.
