A Hamilton man avoided prison after he admitted a cocaine supply charge at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week.

Thomas McDermott, of Cameron Crescent, was ordered to do 200 hours of unpaid community work.

The 35-year-old admitted being concerned in the supply of the Class A drug at his home last October.

Passing sentence, Sheriff Thomas Millar told McDermott: “The social work report says you seem to recognise the error of your ways.”
