Hamilton man admits brandishing knife on two separate occasions

A knife was brandished by a man during separate disturbances in Larkhall and Stonehouse.

John Allison, 44, admitted a charge of threatening or abusive behaviour at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week.

He shouted abuse, made threats and waved a knife about in Glen Avenue, Larkhall, and Murray Drive, Stonehouse, on June 12 last year.

Allison, of Roseberry Place, Hamilton, admitted possessing the knife in public without reasonable excuse.

His not guilty plea to a charge of stealing a bike in London Street, Larkhall, was accepted.

Allison was not in court for the case and was ordered to appear for sentence on June 23.
