Hamilton law firm scoop top industry award

A Hamilton-based law firm have scooped a prestigious industry award.

Scullion LAW were delighted to be crowned winners along with the best businesses, teams and individuals in Scottish legal practice last month at the Hilton Hotel, Glasgow.

The dementia-friendly law firm received a standing ovation from their peers, whilst proudly collecting the popular Commitment to the Community award. This category was one of the most highly-sought after, with a record eight finalists being announced from competing firms across Scotland.

The firm’s founder Nicholas Scullion said: “In times of uncertainty it is essential to maintain good communications with the public we serve.

“We give back because we care. Helping those who live and work around us is in our DNA.

“We have been committed to the community for over 40 years and will continue to do our best to make a positive difference to the lives of others.”

Scullion LAW client care manager Charmaine Trainor said: “I am absolutely delighted that Scullion LAW have won such a prestigious award.

“We truly care about our community and the people that live and work around us.

“It just goes to show that despite our small marketing budgets the investment of our time, passion, care and energy is worth its weight in gold.

“It is great to make such a positive difference and to be recognised amongst our peers at the Scottish Legal Awards.

“I am so proud of our team and am particularly thrilled that the judges recognised the effort we put into our annual school’s debating competition which is now in its tenth year.

“I love helping out with the annual debate, as it empowers our young people which can hopefully create a domino effect leading to a strong set of values that will promote a positive contribution within the community. Well done to everyone at Scullion LAW.”

The law firm are doing their bit for charity yet again this year with their free will campaign.

As part of their commitment to the community, they will once again be running their campaign in aid of Marie Curie from now until the end of May.

Nicholas Scullion continued: “We believe that everyone should forward plan and make a will and power of attorney.

“We encourage everyone in the local area to do so, and as part of our commitment to the local community we are running our annual free will campaign from now until the end of May.

“This offer is available to everyone throughout Scotland – aged 55 and over. If couples are creating a mirror will then only one person needs to be 55 to qualify.

“We support Marie Curie because it is a charity close to our hearts and because we care.”
