A woman had her face slashed during a disturbance in Hamilton which saw three more hospitalised and three arrested yesterday.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of the incident around 6.20pm on Avon Street, following reports of two women having been injured.
On arrival, further enquiries revealed that a disturbance had taken place between five people, resulting in a further two women and one man being injured.
Police have confirmed that a 32-year old woman was taken to hospital with a laceration to her face, with two more woman and a man also taken to hospital with facial injuries.
With enquiries ongoing to locate a woman who ran off when officers arrived.
A 34-year-old woman has been arrested and charged, while a 30-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman have been arrested in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 6.20pm on Saturday, 24 May, 2020, police received a report of two women, aged 32 and 34, being injured in Avon Street, Hamilton.
"Emergency services attended and further enquiries revealed a disturbance had taken place between five people, resulting in a further two women and one man being injured.
"One woman, aged 32, was taken to Hairmyres Hospital with a laceration to her face. A 30-year-old man and two women, aged 34 and 24, were taken to Wishaw General Hospital with facial injuries. Enquiries are ongoing to locate a woman who ran off when officers arrived.
"A 34-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. She is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday, 25 May, 2020. A 30-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman have also been arrested, however neither of them have been charged, and enquiries are ongoing."
