Hamilton Accies boss Stuart Taylor has praised former owner Ronnie MacDonald, and hopes any new owners can achieve a fraction of his success.
MacDonald has ended an 18-year spell at the helm of the New Douglas Park club, handing over his shares to chief executive Colin McGowan this week.
Taylor says the success MacDonald saw in his time in charge was unprecedented, with two spells in the top flight, the most recent of which was seven years that ended in relegation last season.
McGowan is charged with deciding if the club should be sold, with three parties interested, but Taylor says they have a hard act to follow.
Taylor said: "I think that whoever it does go over to, I just hope that they have the same success as Ronnie MacDonald has had here.
"You look back on the time of Ronnie being here, it's probably the most successful this club has had in its whole history. He's probably the most committed in all the owners of this football club, and certainly when it comes to putting his money in, commitment and effort, you'll not get an owner that will do more.

"I know from my time previously here before, we used to come in training on the Sundays and Ronnie was in watching the 12s, 13s, 14s, 15s, 16s, and spent his full Sundays there.
"He would also phone and ask to watch games during the week. He would go and watch opposition games, other players, I know that he would travel outside the country and go and look at players.
"He's very much an innovative owner where he thinks outside the box and tries to make things happen, and what he's done for this football club in the time that he's been here is absolutely incredible. I just hope the new owners will be the same.
"I know we've had disappointments - and I say 'we' because even I was part of the club when we got promoted and stayed in the league for three or four years and came down.
"We had that disappointment of coming down, but for Hamilton Accies to be in the Premiership for seven out of 10 years, or eight out of 10, I think is an impressive achievement."
Taylor added: "If you look on the basics of it, wages have been paid without any doubt, when clubs have been struggling over the years.
"You hear about players not being paid, staff not being paid, bills not being paid, the electricity has been put off - that has never happened at this football club.

"It's never been close to happening at this football club. I've come in here and there are one or two things that need done, but that's not down to the owners.
"We asked them for a new gym, which we've got and isn't cheap. We've asked for an analyst and analysis equipment, which isn't cheap, and straight away it's done without any questions.
"Even when I was here before, everything the players needed they got, and we can't ask for any more from Ronnie, because everything that has been asked he has produced.
"This club has been in a very good position over the years, down to his investment, so I hope the new owners that do come in, will be from that same process.
"This club still needs to be innovative, it still needs to be forward-thinking, thinking outside the box, because we're never going to be able to compete with Celtic, Rangers.
"All these clubs have all got massive income coming through the gates, from sponsorship, and they have so much more that we just can't compete with.
"But we will have to go down that road of carrying on his legacy, if you want to call it that, of bringing through very good young players and selling them on to make a little bit of money.
"We need to have their quality about us to bring us success, but also making sure that we have a good brand of football, a good identity at the football club that supporters can be proud of what we've got and what they've got at the club.
"I'm a big believer in supporters, players, staff, owners all being together and united, realising what we are, realising what we've got and what we don't have, but making it work."
