Hamilton boss Brian Rice has called for the Covid rules to stay the same for players who return false-positives.
The gaffer today confirmed that the three players who had tested positive on Monday are now shown to be negative for coronavirus.
The trio will remain in self-isolation for 10 days alongside defender Lee Hodson, who came into contact with St Mirren goalkeeper Jak Alnwick.
With four more players on the injury list, Rice admits it will be "highly unlikely" he is able to name a full bench for the game against Kilmarnock.
Following similar incidents at Hibs and Motherwell so far this season, there have been calls for the governing body to alter the rules.
However, the New Douglas Park boss has called for consistency throughout the season.
He said at his press conference today: "It's a frustration that players can't play [after returning negative tests] but I would like to think that they won't change the rules on that.
"We were affected by it, Hibs were affected by it with Alex Gogic. I don't think you can change the rules as we go on.
"It's a false positive and the rules are a 10 day isolation period, so I would like to think that between now and the end of the season that's the rule.
"That won't get changed or we are at a disadvantage and Hibs are at a disadvantage.
"We just need to take it on the chin."
He added: "I'd be disappointed [if it changed] but I don't expect them to change; they've made the rules and that's it
"If they do change them then they have changed them for the best of reasons, but I won't look at in despair."
Following St Mirren's goalkeeping crisis, Rice also believes the season should be completed if safety measures are in place
"I think it's necessary that if we can play we should," he went on.
"St Mirren and Jim's [Goodwin] situation was very unique with three goalkeepers and I have sympathy for that.
"But, football stopped in March, and we were crying out for it to be back. We can't stop and start it at the drop of a hat.
"We've got to try and keep playing if we can and if it's safe to do so.
"It's going to be a challenge to get the season finished but we must do everything we can, and I don't think anyone can do any more.
"It's just the way of the world at the minute. It's not just a football problem, and we have got to keep playing if it's safe to do so, and at this moment it is.
"We are getting regular checks, and if it's positive we know the consequences, but we just have to get on with it.
Having only returned to non-contact training today, Rice admits there has been a major impact on his plans for the game at Rugby Park and has "to take things one hour at a time."
"We have not been able to do any work on the team this week, this was our first day on the training pitch and it was non-contact until we get the results of testing this morning.
"I've got a team in my head, I've got the tactics in my head, but I've not been able to execute it on the pitch right now.
"I'm without eight players this weekend and under normal circumstances that would be very difficult, but the rules are the rules.
"We just have to get on with it. We were crying out for football to be back so we just have to get on with it."
