Hamilton boss Brian Rice laments individual errors against Hibs

Brian Rice says he's never been more disappointed this season than he was as Hamilton lost 2-1 to Hibs at Easter Road on Wednesday night.

Alex Gogic's first-half header was cancelled out by Christian Doidge in the second half, with Paul Hanlon popping up with a late winner.

Rice says his side could have won the game in Edinburgh, and certainly deserved at least a point.

"I'm just absolutely gutted for my boys, I really am," said Rice. "I've never been as disappointed this season, because we deserved something out of that match, I don't care what anybody else says.

"In the first half we could have been out of sight, my boys were tremendous, but we got a wee bit deep in the second half. A couple of individual mistakes has cost us the match, or at least a point.

"Football lasts 90 minutes; Hibs made a couple of changes and we didn't make any changes, but our mentality changed a little bit.

"When you come to places like Easter Road, where it's very difficult, and when you make chances like we did, you've got to take them.

"We didn't, and fair play to Hibs - they made two or three chances and took two of them.

"I'm just disappointed not to get anything out of the match, because we certainly deserved to get something."
