Hamilton Accies boss Brian Rice is optimistic that Aaron Martin's injury isn't as serious as the club first feared.
The 31 year-old defender was forced off after 26 minutes in Wednesday's 1-1 draw with St Mirren and left the ground in a protective boot.
Although he will miss the trip to face Hibs at Easter Road this weekend, Rice is hopeful that Martin could return for the clash against St Johnstone on March 3rd.

He said: "Aaron Martin was away for a scan this morning so we will get the results back tonight. He will miss tomorrow but we are hopeful that it's not as bad as we first feared.
"I don't think it is with the way he was talking to me about it yesterday. The medical staff had a look at it yesterday and it's something he felt at the bottom of his foot. We are hopeful that he will just miss the one game.
"He's been a major part of the team since he came in. He's formed a good partnership with the other two lads alongside him and his experience has definitely helped us."

The Hamilton boss will be boosted by Shaun Want's return to the squad from injury. The 24 year-old has in impressive form at the start of the season but hasn't played since October.
The academy graduate isn't fully fit yet and will need to build up match fitness but his return provides Rice with more defensive options.
He said: "Shaun Want is back in the squad. He's back involved and he's been training now for two weeks with the first team. We feel it's the right time to bring back into the squad.
"He could play tomorrow if selected but it will come a little bit too soon for him because he's not had any bounce games.
"He's been out now since October and he's had a couple set backs.
"He's naturally a very fit lad and if push came to shove then he could start but it would be very unfair to risk him."

"We are disappointed Aaron's injury has happened at this time but we've got cover there at the moment. It's great to be talking about options because it's been a difficult season for every club.
"I'm only talking about my own club and it's been really difficult with the injuries and Covid situations. We are getting bodies back into the squad and it's refreshing for everybody."
