Hamilton boss Brian Rice appeals for unity amid fans row

Hamilton Accies boss Brian Rice has appealed for unity and an 'all for one' spirit as he tries to take the club up the Premiership table.

A row has erupted between supporters and chief executive Colin McGowan, which resulted in Supporters' Liaison Officer Sean McHugh demanding answers over the direction of the New Douglas Park club.

Ahead of the clash at home to Hibs today, Rice says he wants everybody to be pulling in the same direction.

He said: "The fans are the lifeblood of any club, especially here at Hamilton where we are a massive community club.

"This is a community and we want to stand together to be successful together.

"We don't want any splits anywhere.

"This isn't a time for anybody to be disillusioned, this is a time for harmony, it's a time for everybody getting together.

"It's trying times in general, but we all need to be pulling in the one direction.

"If there is a grievance or miscommunication then it will be sorted out.

"But for me, as the football manager, I want to see everyone pulling in the one direction.

"We all want to see Hamilton Accies doing well, and we'll only achieve that if everyone is pulling in the one direction.

"I would like to think the fans have seen a change in the team and a change in the mentality, and will be delighted with that.

"It's got to be all for one. If we move forward then it's got to be together."
