Hamilton aim for 'positive effect' on children's mental health with season ticket offer

Hamilton Accies have vowed to promote positive mental health with the introduction of their free season ticket scheme.

50 season books will be given to 20 different selected schools in the local area as the Championship club look to attract a new audience.

The offer is is eligible to pupils aged between 12 and 18 and the club will send application forms to each selected school for interested people to begin applying for the free tickets.

It is a lengthy 18-month offer too, with each free season book covering every home league game between January 2022 and May 2023.

Head coach Stuart Taylor's side are eighth in the Championship and face Auchinleck Talbot in the Scottish Cup third round this weekend.

A statement reads: "It is our hope that this scheme will have a positive effect on the mental health of our young children.

"We hope this offer will show the ethos of our community club, working to the benefit of its people and shows that things aren’t always about money.

"We will also be offering the opportunity for schools to apply for a further four tickets on a match-by-match basis. This will give teachers and school staff a well-earned day out."
