Hamilton Accies vice-chairman voted onto SPFL board

Hamilton Accies vice-chairman Les Gray has been voted onto the Scottish Professional Football League board for season 2019-20.

He will be joined on the board by Motherwell chief executive Alan Burrows.

The 42 member clubs of the SFPL met at Hampden Park on Monday for the league's Annual General Meeting, electing the six club representatives who will serve on the board, which is two from the Ladbrokes Premiership, two from the Championship, and one covering League 1 and League 2.

All six will serve on the board, alongside SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster, chairman Murdoch MacLennan and independent non-executive director Karyn McCluskey.

Joining Gray and Burrows are Stewart Robertson of Rangers, Ross McArthur (Dunfermline Athletic), Graham Peterkin (Ayr United) and Ken Ferguson of Brechin City.

Members also approved the use of a fourth substitute in extra-time in the end-of-season play-offs, mirroring the current position in the Betfred Cup and Tunnock's Caramel Wafer Cup.
