Hamilton Accies Under-15 Girls retain League Cup

A five-star performance by Hamilton Accies Girls’ under-15 side saw them retain the Scottish FA South West League Cup with a 5-0 win over Kilmarnock at The Circuit in Irvine.

After the under-13s also won their League Cup at the same venue, it was the turn of the older side, with Chloe Walker putting them 2-0 ahead at the interval.

The game had been tight up until Walker was fouled inside the box on the half-hour mark and she converted the penalty, before scoring again four minutes later.

Walker hit the bar in the second half, but did complete her hat-trick.

Captain Monica Smith rifled in a ferocious free kick to settle the game in Hamilton’s favour, and Kim McCole rounded the Killie goalkeeper to tuck in a fifth goal.
