One of Hamilton Accies’ sponsors has been teasing fans with the fake signing of Lionel Messi to the club.
Boss Pizza mocked up a photo of the football icon donning Accies colours in their post.
The takeaway joked Messi was tempted by a free pizza per goal deal put on the table from the Lanarkshire outfit.
They also told the move was confirmed by the superstar’s Dutch agent, Jus Avinalaff, stating he was after the tastiest deal.
The half-convincing photo shows the Argentinian posed next to the goal posts at New Douglas Park proudly showing off his new Hamilton home shirt.
Boss Pizza’s clever plug highlights their recent sponsor deal with Accies who advertise the firm on matchdays.
As part of the sponsorship, Bozz Pizza allow customers to be entered into a draw to win match tickets every time they order a pizza via their app - once football stadia open to fans again.
