Reegan Mimnaugh hopes to have impressed boss Brian Rice enough to keep his place for Hamilton's final two games of the season.
The talented academy graduate was handed a rare start in Accies' crucial clash against St Mirren and he performed admirably as Hamilton picked up a vital win.
Accies boss Rice singled out the 19 year-old for his performance and Mimnaugh hopes he impressed his manager enough to retain his place against Ross County in Hamilton's next game.
"He just told me well done," said Mimnaugh about Rice who picked out the youngster for a word at full-time.
"He also added what I need to work on but also he let me know what I did well.
"I could still hear him in the stands and I tried to avoid him a few times. You’re never perfect in games so it’s important to take on board what the manager tells you.

“Hopefully I put in a good account of myself and the gaffer noticed that so I can kick on now. I’ve not really played too much this season but all that matters is staying up and hopefully I can help the team do that."
It was only Mimnaugh's fifth start in the league this season but he displayed an impressive maturity to step into a game of such magnitude.
Accies control their own fate and they know that maximum points from their final two games - against direct relegation rivals Ross County and Kilmarnock - and Mimnaugh insisted his teammates are full of belief.
"We are always underdogs going into games. Maybe that’s a good thing because nobody expects us to win so when we do win, we are proving people wrong.
He said: “After winning today, the boys are all buzzing so we will go up there and try to do the same again. We need to pick up the three points against County before our last game of the season.

“It’s a great three points. We are due a bit of luck and we got that with the second goal but we’ve been due that slice of luck all season.
“We’ve worked hard and we knew coming into the game that we needed to win. I thought that I did alright but it’s more about the team performance which is always the main thing.
